L.U.C Quattro

L.U.C Quattro

The elegant L.U.C Quattro timepiece with its extremely generous power reserve continues its ongoing transformation. With its vertical satin-brushed green dial framed by a white gold case, L.U.C Quattro expresses a subtly different spirit through a dial radiating an aura of extreme distinction.

Far removed from the bottle- or olive-green shades favoured by current trends, Chopard has opted for a greyish hue directly inspired by English tastes such as those pervading private clubs, along with a formal yet eccentric aura of elegance. This 50-piece limited model is intended for gentlemen well- acquainted with watchmaking secrets and capable of recognising the inherent L.U.C fine craftsmanship.

L.U.C Quattro is one of the major players in the L.U.C collection. This mainstay of Chopard Manufacture is powered by a peerlessly slender top-flight calibre with a nine-day power reserve, Above and beyond its horological performance, the new L.U.C Quattro timepiece is a distinguished, epicurean attribute designed for the contemporary gentleman. The modern spirit of its redesigned dial, its unique colour and its ‘Poinçon de Genève’ certification make this a chronometer intended to be worn, flaunted and admired.

Purity and elegance

Building on the success achieved by the new L.U.C Quattro design unveiled in 2018, this elegant, ultra-slim timepiece welcomes a new pared-down dial entirely in tune with the times. After a 2018 edition featuring a silver-toned vertical satin-brushed dial with blue hands and hour-markers framed by a rose gold case, it now appears attired in white gold. At its heart is a grey-green vertical satin-brushed dial punctuated by rhodium-plated hour-markers and Arabic numerals. L.U.C Quattro is issued in a 50-piece limited series, fitted with an impeccably chic matt brown double-sided alligator leather strap.

The 18-carat white gold L.U.C Quattro case measures 43 mm in diameter. Its middle is satin-brushed, its bezel polished and its back finely hand-engraved. All the scrupulous attention required by the ‘Poinçon de Genève’ quality hallmark has been lavished on this model featuring a subdial displaying both small seconds and the date at 6 o’clock, exactly opposite the 12 o’clock power-reserve indicator graduated from 1 to 9. An iconic L.U.C Quattro signature, the latter is shaped like a fan unfurled to 180 degrees. The chapter ring is punctuated by two large Arabic numerals at 3 and 9 o’clock, with applied rhodium-plated hour-markers in between. Their shape is an extrapolation of the L.U.C collection’s characteristic Dauphine fusée-type hands, enhanced in this instance with Super-LumiNovaTM.

An exceptional mechanism

Beating inside the L.U.C Quattro is one of the original Chopard Manufacture movements: Calibre 98.01-L, distinguished by the patented Chopard Quattro Technology. Its two pairs of stacked barrels endow this certified chronometer with a maximum 216-hour power reserve, while taking up remarkably little space given that it measures just 3.7 mm thick – which in turn gives the watch an incomparably slim and elegant profile.
