L’Heure du Diamant – Fine Stone Dials Enhance The Passing Hours

Chopard is announcing stunning new releases in its L’Heure du Diamant timepiece collection.

Embodying the excellence of its watchmaking and jewellery-making crafts, three new 30 mm-diameter interpretations associate the majesty of diamonds and the splendour of a fine stone dial with the technical refinement of a Chopard mechanical self-winding movement. Together, they form a splendid composition graced with opal, malachite and lapis lazuli. More than ever, the time has come to wear these treasures.

Anthem to light

L’Heure du Diamant is the story of a perfect encounter between the Chopard watch and jewellery crafts that Chopard has been masterfully cultivating for several generations. To enrich the collection, the Manufacture has created three original models of this watch radiating an inimitably majestic charm. Reflecting golden sunrays at dawn, the glow of an intimate candlelit dinner or the glittering chandeliers of a flamboyant festive evening, these jewellery-watches are above all a question of light. Chopard artisans have created a crown setting for each diamond adorning the bezel, highlighting each of the diamonds meticulously selected for these exquisite timepieces. This technique limiting the visibility of the setting prongs ensures maximum exposure of the gems.

Celebrating fine stones

The no less flamboyant L’Heure du Diamant dials are an additional quest for light. The ever-changing shimmer of opal; the fascinating black streaks of malachite, and the deep blue shade of lapis lazuli evoking a full-moon night: these watches play on the iridescent charm of fine stones associated with magical virtues. And because Chopard spares no effort in reminding us that these objects are not only jewellery creations, but also precious timepieces, each is equipped with a mechanical self-winding movement: the 09.01-C calibre developed and produced in its Manufacture. More than ever, L’Heure du Diamant embodies the encounter between the Maison’s two centres of excellence: watchmaking savoir faire and jewellery-making virtuosity.

L’Heure du Diamant collection

Since the start of its history, the Scheufele family has demonstrated a talent for combining the best of these two worlds. In the past, magnificent jewellery watches stemming from exceptional family expertise earned the original Karl Scheufele (who became known as Karl Scheufele I) both success and recognition, to the point of being nicknamed the “Master of jewellery watches”. Three generations later, Caroline Scheufele, Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director, had the idea of reviving this family heritage and creating a line of jewellery that tells the time, giving rise to L’Heure du Diamant collection. A world of dazzling parties, prestigious ceremonies and entrancing festivities is conjured up by this collection with its incomparable elegance and mesmerising allure.
