Founded in 2015, Horobox is a watch blog and collector community-based in Turkey. Run by our good friend Serdar Oal, this Turkish blog aims to keep the watch industry's pulse and cover it extensively. Since its founding, Horobox has released three extremely limited editions, all sold out, including the new Chopard Alpine Eagle Horobox Limited Edition.

The Red Eagle

Launched in 2019, the Chopard Alpine Eagle has made waves from day one. Inspired by the St. Moritz watch Chopard created in 1980, the brand revamped its first steel sports watch from the ‘80s with a new name and modern touches that fit today's fashion. The Alpine Eagle’s integrated bracelet design, also inspired by the St. Moritz, makes it one with your wrist. Last but not least, its elegant allure is eye-catching. The Alpine Eagle is a great option when you're looking for an integrated steel sports watch.

For the Chopard Alpine Eagle Horobox Limited Edition, Horobox opted for a bright burgundy dial. The dial pattern fittingly echoes the complex and piercing eyes of an eagle. Paired with white roman numerals and indices, this is the first and only time Chopard has offered this color, and it’s exclusive to Horobox. It's a shame because, in the sun, the color tone really shines, and it's hard to look away.

Th sport-chic Alpine Eagle Horobox Limited Edition was made from Chopard's very own ultra-resistant, hypoallergenic, and light-reflecting Lucent Steel A223, which is 50% more wear-resistant than regular steel. Fitting, considering it is a sport's watch.

Powered by the Chopard Caliber 01.01-C, the Chopard Alpine Eagle Horobox Limited Edition boasts an impressive 60-hour power reserve. Limited to only 10 pieces, sadly, this 41mm timepiece was sold out before its official launch.

The Grand Reveal

Being quite disappointed in not landing one for myself, I cannot help but feel envious of how the watch was delivered to its new owners. Over an exclusive dinner hosted by Tektaş Saatçilik, Chopard's Official Turkish Retailer, at the Nida Kule in Istanbul, the happy new owners of the Chopard Alpine Eagle Horobox Limited Edition were treated to exceptionally personalized customer service.

Finally, to promote this limited edition, our friends at Horobox created an awesome video. In it, they put the Chopard Alpine Eagle Horobox Limited Edition to the test of the elements and took it on an extensive adventure in the Turkish countryside.

Special mention for our friend Serdar, principal "actor" of this shoot, giving me Antonio Banderas vibes. Congratulations to Horobox! May there be many more limited editions to come!
