It’s been a banner year for the Perpetual Twin from Chopard. Today, it adds another feather to its cap with the release of the L.U.C Perpetual Twin CronotempVs Club, designed in collaboration with the members-only private club.

There’s a new L.U.C Perpetual Twin in town, and it’s a beauty. The watch is the result of a combined design effort between Chopard and CronotempVs Collectors. Its members are some of the most discerning watch collectors in the world. They’re crazy for watches, in a good way.
A Club for Connoisseurs
If you don’t know about CronotempVs, here’s who they are, in their own words: “CronotempVs Collectors is a collectors/enthusiast/amateurs community dedicated to sharing the passion of horology. CronotempVs Collectors works hand in hand to create projects with some of the most important historic brands and independents that uphold the highest traditional horological values.”
Exclusive Collaborative Timepieces
Over a decade ago, the multinational private collectors club began working with some of the world’s top watch brands, including Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre, and Oris, to create exclusive timepieces only available to buy through the club.
Of course, CronotempVs’ collectors are a captive audience for the brands, hungry, as connoisseurs are, for rare watches. Moreover, the exclusivity of the timepieces means that, even among the highest-level collectors of top Swiss timepieces, these watches can only be found on a few wrists.
New Public Access
Recently, CronotempVs decided to extend the availability of the collaboration timepieces to non-members. While the club remains private, with its members’ names and activities a carefully guarded secret, the exclusive watches are now available through a public portal on CronotempVs’ website.
The Chopard L.U.C Perpetual Twin is the latest offering in CronotempVs’ luxury lineup. The L.U.C Perpetual Twin was launched in 2016 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Chopard watch manufacture, and it remains a jewel in the crown for the brand. It’s the only steel-cased automatic perpetual calendar on the market today that’s COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) certified.
Also encased in stainless steel, the 43mm L.U.C Perpetual Twin CronotempVs Club Watch features a granulated gold dial with black indices. Additionally, it has the same movement that is in all the L.U.C Perpetual Twin watches, the L.U.C 96.22-L with 65 hours of power reserve.
An “Everyday” Perpetual Calendar
Many collectors only pull their perpetual calendars out of the vault for special occasions. However, Chopard says that the L.U.C Perpetual Twin in stainless steel is “designed for life,” meaning that it is intended to be worn as an everyday watch.
Every day or not, it’s a watch that will certainly garner attention within the CronotempVs Collectors club and beyond.
